In October the sea breeze usually kicks in around 4 pm, so a late afternoon walk on Dandi’s beach feels cooler than the midday heat. If you’re staying near Navsari, the Uday Palace Navsari offers a comfortable room to beat the heat before heading out.

The island’s old irrigation tanks are a clear window into Chola engineering; the stone channels and sluice gates show how they diverted river water for rice paddies. A quick walk to the mainland temple next to the island lets you see the same Chola iconography carved in stone, tying the inscription to everyday life. If you need a rest spot after the walk, the Goutham Grand Hotel in Tenali is just over ten kilometres away.

Starting at Kangla gives a quick visual of the royal seat before you dive into the museum’s artifacts. From the museum to Loktak Lake it’s about 45 km and usually takes roughly an hour by car. If you’re staying near the city, the PHOU OI BEE HOTEL is within walking distance of the main roads that head out. Do you need tips on the best route to Keibul Lamjao from Loktak?

You might also check the small guesthouse “Jajpur Guest House” near the stand it often includes a shared kitchen and a free breakfast. If you stay in Bhubaneswar, Hotel O Sunshine 2 is usually a bit cheaper than O Saket Homes.

If you’re heading out in December, the 6 kilometre ridge trail is a solid choice for a higher viewpoint while still catching the waterfalls. The path is drier than the loop, so you’ll avoid the slipperiness that can appear on the 4 km route, and you’ll still get a panoramic view of the cascading water from above. After the trek you could head back to Belgaum and grab breakfast at Shatavari Eco Resort. TravelIndiaDeals may earn a commission if you book through this link.

Garden of Five Senses is a bit farther at six kilometres, but it has a nice café where you can grab a quick snack and people watch before heading back to MB Road.

Echor Mud Huts in Tabo is a practical choice if you’re okay with a 1 hour drive from Kaza. The huts are about 36 km from the river and have basic shared kitchen facilities. If you want to stay even closer, the guesthouse in Thangri is only a 20 minute walk from the river, and you can get there from Kaza in about an hour by local taxi or shared jeep.

If you’re staying near Mandi, the SPT Clarks Inn Suites gives you easy access to either lake. Prashar’s longer trek offers more varied scenery and early sunrise shots, while Rewalsar’s museum and extra temples give a richer cultural feel. Pick based on whether you want a longer walk or a deeper dive into local heritage.

You won’t find a direct bus from the airport to the Science Centre; most people take a taxi or a ride share and it takes about 20 25 minutes. If you prefer walking, the railway station is roughly two kilometres from the centre, so you could stroll after trains finish around 6 pm, but be ready for some uphill sections. A quick detour to Kanke Dam is doable in the evening, but Tagore Hill is a bit further away and might be tight on time. Treebo Archie Regency is a short walk from the airport and could be a convenient stop.

You could stay at Surya Heritage Hotels in Kannur; it’s just 8.6 km from the temple. From the Parassinikadavu bus stop, a local bus to Kannur takes about 15 minutes, and the hotel is a short auto ride away. After the temple, head to Payyambalam Beach for a free sunset walk, then grab a quick bite at the nearby Kannur Market before heading back.

The market’s layout still reflects the original cluster you’ll see a few older, narrow lanes that were the first stalls set up before the 1940s. After a walk, a quick stop at the nearby Super Collection O Railway Station Road Near Clock Tower gives a quiet break before heading back to Hotel Park Plaza Ludhiana.

The 5 pm bus from Bhatkal to Shirali runs every day in mid November, so you can leave after sunset and return the same evening. If you’re looking to keep meals cheap, most dhabas near the beach serve a fresh fish and coconut rice combo for under ₹150, which fits a tight budget.

If you’re staying at RS Sarovar Portico Palampur you can hop on a cab around 5:30 pm and reach the Jwalamukhi bus stand in about 45 minutes, then it’s just a short walk to the temple. The bus stand sits only a few hundred meters from the temple’s entrance, so you’ll still have plenty of time to see the flame after dusk.

If you’re aiming for a crisp shot of the play equipment, try the park around 7 am when the sun is low and shadows give texture. A small tripod on a nearby bench works well for slower shutter speeds, especially if you’re staying near the Capital O Siddartha Grand parking for quick access to gear.

If you’re staying at the Lemon Tree Hotel Rajkot, you can head out early from the parking lot and walk straight to the western entrance. The sun will bathe the carved façade from that angle, and the courtyard’s low traffic at that hour gives you a clean background. Try a wide angle to include the surrounding stone pillars, then switch to a tighter shot of the gold leaf on the arch as the light brightens.
