If you’re staying near the bus stand, consider Sunshine International Boarding & Lodging in Belur. It’s a short auto ride away, and the on site dhaba serves fresh idlis that pair nicely with late afternoon filter coffee, giving you a quick break before the sunset spot.

The Gurugram Heritage Museum is just a ten minute drive south of the stadium and opens at 10 am. If you’re there before the 10 am guided walk, you can squeeze in a quick visit before heading to the 4 pm match. Also, if you have a few extra minutes after the game, a short walk to the nearby Sector 42 market gives you quick street food options without straying far from the stadium.

If you only have a few hours, the Lower Manair Dam is quicker to reach and lets you stroll the 20 minute perimeter while spotting the small boats. Elgandal Fort takes a bit longer to walk through but gives a sharper sense of 16th century architecture. A short 15 minute walk to Ujwala Park is a nice green break before you head back. If you need a place to rest afterward, consider staying at the Lemon Tree Premier Vijayawada.

If you’re staying at the ARTILLA INN, you’ll be just a minute’s walk from Gandhi Smriti. The early morning prayer crowd is usually a handful of locals, so 6 am should feel quite quiet. Just keep an eye on the traffic coming from the Sabarmati Ashram it starts to pick up around 9 am.

A quick walk from the stepwell takes you to a small dhaba right beside Bindu Sarovar that serves fresh khandvi and steaming dhokla the translucent rolls look great up close and the steam adds texture. If you’d like a more polished backdrop later, The Grand Raveta about 27 kilometres away offers a sit down thali that locals love and gives you a nice contrast for your food shots.

You can also take a short local boat from Port Blair’s jetty; a few operators run a shared trip to Viper Island each day. The schedule isn’t fixed, so it’s safer to ask the information desk when you arrive. If you prefer a private ride, flag a taxi they’ll take you straight to the island and you won’t need to book anything in advance.

You can also stroll the 1 km walking path that circles the lake it’s lined with mature banyan trees and offers good bird watching spots, especially early evening. If you have a few minutes, bring a small picnic blanket and sit on the lawn near the pavilion; the sunset light over the water makes for nice shots. For a quick refreshment you could grab a snack at the nearby kiosk before heading back.

You could also grab a quick bite at the small tea stall just outside the bus stop they serve fresh chai and a few local snacks that pair well with a walk up the fort. If you’re staying at Best Western La Vista Pathankot, the walk from the stop is only a few minutes, so you can hop on the bus, get a quick tea, then head straight to the fort. A phone camera will capture the stonework fine, but a small tripod helps steady shots of the barrage.

You could add a quick stop at Srikurmam Temple on the same day it’s about a 40 minute auto ride from Baruva. If you want a base that keeps you close to the beach, Sunray Village Resort is only 15 km away and has easy auto links to both the lighthouse and the nearby temple. This way you can fit all the sites into a single, relaxed day.

If you’re aiming for a quieter slot, try a mid week day in early winter, like a Wednesday in January. The air is crisp, and most of the night shift visitors have left by 6 am. A quick coffee break at the Taj Mahal, New Delhi, just over a kilometre away, will warm you up before you head back.

The palace also hosted a 1932 treaty signing between the local ruler and the British Resident, a key moment that solidified its political importance. Architecturally, note the stone carved friezes on the outer walls that depict scenes from Gujarati folklore, a rare blend of narrative art and structural design. If you’re staying near Rajkot, the Lemon Tree Hotel Rajkot is close enough to walk to the palace and ask for a guided walk that covers the treaty hall.

If you’re looking for a quieter green spot after the rock sculptures, try walking to Kalyani Gardens it’s a short stroll from Utsav and has a nice lake and a few cafés. The evening light there is lovely for a relaxed walk. If you want a quick recharge before heading back, Vivanta Bengaluru on Residency Road is just a minute away and has a nice lounge.
