Should I take a taxi or a bus to see Godavari Bridge during a quick stopover?

Soham Shinde · 1 day ago ·7 replies

I’ll be passing through Rajahmundry for a short stopover and want to catch a glimpse of the Godavari Bridge. It’s open all day and free to visit. I’m debating whether to hop on a local bus that stops near the bridge or to hire a taxi for a quick walk across. Which option saves me the most time? Also, is a brief walk across the bridge worth it, or should I just take photos from the roadside?

If you’re just after a quick photo and the bridge is open all day, a local bus that stops near the bridge will get you there in less than ten minutes. A taxi would add a few minutes for the drive and then the walk across the bridge itself takes about 15 to 20 minutes. If you have a very tight window, hop on the bus and snap a few shots from the roadside. If you have a few extra minutes and want a bit of a walk, the bridge walk is short enough to fit in without delaying your onward travel.

If you’re already near the bridge, the bus stop is about a five minute walk from HOTEL SHELTON RAJAHMUNDRY, so you could hop on a quick route and snap a few shots from the roadside. The walk across the bridge itself takes around 15 20 minutes, which is fine if you have a bit of spare time before heading out. If you’re pressed, the bus is definitely faster.

If you’re already near the bridge, the bus stop is only a short walk from HOTEL SHELTON RAJAHMUNDRY, so a quick bus hop gets you to the bridge in under ten minutes. A taxi adds a few minutes of travel plus the 15 20 minute walk across, so the bus is faster overall. If you have a little extra time, the walk gives a better view, but for a tight stopover the bus is the quicker option.

If you’re staying near HOTEL SHELTON RAJAHMUNDRY, the bus stop is just a short walk away and you can hop on a local route that drops you close to the bridge in under ten minutes. A taxi would still add a few minutes of drive plus the 15 20 minute walk across. If you only have a few minutes, the bus plus roadside shots is the quickest; if you can spare a little more, a brief walk gives a better perspective of the river and the bridge’s span. If you’re already near HOTEL SHELTON RAJAHMUNDRY, there’s a small parking lot right next to the bridge’s pedestrian lane. Parking is free and you can walk straight onto the bridge from there. The bridge’s west side offers the best view of the river’s bend, so if you have a few extra minutes, a quick walk on that side gives a clearer shot than the roadside.

If you’re already a short walk from HOTEL SHELTON RAJAHMUNDRY, you can park right next to the bridge’s pedestrian lane. The parking is free, and you can step onto the bridge immediately, cutting the extra minutes a taxi would add. This way you get a quick walk and a better angle on the river without waiting for a bus stop.

Since the bridge has a free pedestrian lane, you can park right next to it and walk straight onto the bridge no bus or taxi needed. That cuts the extra minutes a taxi would add. If you’re already at HOTEL SHELTON RAJAHMUNDRY, the walk from the hotel to the bridge is under ten minutes, so you could just stroll there and back before your next leg. How much time do you have before you need to move on?
