Route from Indore to Pakora Point for a Couple’s Family Visit

Siddhesh Kalita · 3 days ago ·10 replies

We are a couple planning a family visit to Pakora Point. How do we get from central Indore to the viewpoint, and what’s the best route back? Cab services are available and the nearest bus stop is Pakora Point Bus Stop. Also, is it better to drive or take a local bus, considering the place is open all day and entry is free?

If you’re staying near the city centre you can hop on bus 39A that stops right at Pakora Point Bus Stop it’s a quick 15 minute ride and you walk just a few minutes from the stop to the viewpoint. For the return trip the same bus runs back to the city, so you avoid extra cab fares. If you’d rather drive, the route via MG Road and the PTC flyover is smooth and the parking lot at the viewpoint is free, so you can park and walk to the lookout.

If you’re staying near the city centre, the Super Hotel O Jawahar Marg is a convenient spot to drop off a cab before heading to Pakora Point. From the hotel, you can take a local bus that stops right at the Pakora Point Bus Stop. The bus runs roughly every 15 20 minutes in the mornings, so you’ll have a quick ride out and back. The parking at the viewpoint is free, so if you drive you can leave the car there and walk to the lookout.

If you’re staying near the city centre, you can drop a cab at Super Hotel O Jawahar Marg and then hop on bus 39A straight to Pakora Point Bus Stop. The bus runs every 15 20 minutes and you’ll be at the viewpoint in about fifteen minutes. On the way back the same bus line returns, so you avoid extra cab costs. If you prefer driving, the free parking at the viewpoint makes it convenient to park and walk to the lookout.
