If you only have a few hours, stop at Dhauli first the Ashoka Pillar and the reliefs give a tangible, concrete story of the Kalinga war that Bhimkhoj’s mythic spring can’t match. After that you can head straight to Bhimkhoj for the legend and then finish with a quick walk around Lingaraj Temple’s architecture. If you need a short break, Hotel Jasmin Palace in Angul is only about thirteen kilometres away.
