Just a two minute walk south of the temple you’ll find a stall that serves “khamir,” a spiced millet flatbread wrapped in banana leaf, paired with a small side of roasted peanuts. It’s a local favorite that you won’t see at the Jagannath market. If you want a sit down spot, FabHotel Amaltas is less than a kilometre away and has a modest restaurant with a few regional dishes.
