If you’re looking for a place that’s almost next to the barrage and still kid friendly, the Lakeside Inn offers a small outdoor play area and a free parking spot right by the lobby. The rooms are family sized and the breakfast menu has plenty of child friendly options. It’s just under a kilometre from the picnic spot, so you can drop the car close and head out in minutes.
