What’s the weather like at Imphal War Cemetery in October?

Tanvi Sidhu · 24 hours ago ·7 replies

I’m planning a short visit to the Imphal War Cemetery with my partner and I’m curious about what the weather will be like in October. The cemetery sits in Imphal, Manipur, and the site is open all day, 24 hours, so I want to know if it’s usually cool or humid during that month. Will we need to bring layers, or can we expect mild temperatures suitable for a relaxed walk through the landscaped gardens?

October in Imphal usually sees daytime highs around 25°C and nights dropping to about 15°C, so it’s comfortably mild. Humidity is lower than the monsoon months, but it can still feel a bit damp in the mornings. A light jacket or a long sleeve shirt for the cooler evenings is a good idea, but you won’t need heavy gear for a relaxed walk through the cemetery gardens. If you’re staying nearby, Hotel Yaiphaba is only a kilometre away and offers easy access to the site.

October mornings can feel a bit damp, but the afternoons stay comfortably mild, so a light sweater for early visits is enough. If you’re staying nearby, Hotel Yaiphaba is only a kilometre away and has easy access to the cemetery. You’ll have plenty of shade in the landscaped gardens, so a short walk won’t feel too hot. October mornings can feel a touch damp, but the rest of the day stays comfortably mild. A light sweater or a thin jacket will cover the cooler evenings, and you can usually walk around without needing heavy layers. If you’re staying close, Hotel Yaiphaba is just a kilometre away and offers easy access to the cemetery.

If you’re staying close, The Padma is just over a kilometre from the cemetery and offers a quiet spot to rest after a stroll. In October, the mornings can be a bit damp, but afternoons stay comfortably mild, so a light sweater and a water bottle should be enough for a relaxed walk through the gardens.
