Best way to reach Paltan Bazaar from the railway station?

Subhashree Borah · 19 hours ago ·6 replies

I’m staying close to Dehradun Railway Station and want to visit Paltan Bazaar. The bazaar is open all day, and I know cabs are available there. Should I hop on a taxi or take the bus from Dehradun Bus Stand? Also, how long does it roughly take?

If you’re already near the station, a quick taxi will get you to Paltan Bazaar in about ten minutes. The local bus takes a bit longer it stops at the Dehradun Bus Stand first and then makes a few hops, usually around 20 25 minutes depending on traffic. If you prefer a more direct route, the Vishnu Lok near Dehradun Railway Station is just a short walk away and many guests use the same taxi line.

If you’re already near the station, a taxi is quickest about ten minutes. The bus from Dehradun Bus Stand takes 20 25 minutes because it stops at the bus stand first and then makes a few hops. If you prefer a short walk and still want a taxi, the Vishnu Lok near the station is just a 110 meter walk away.

If you’d rather walk a bit first, the Vishnu Lok near Dehradun Railway Station is just 110 metres away, so you could grab a cab from there after a short stroll. The bus from the Dehradun Bus Stand takes roughly 20 25 minutes because it stops there first and then makes a few hops. This gives you a quick direct option versus a slightly longer but cheaper bus ride.

If you’re close to the station, you can catch a local taxi right outside the platform it usually takes about ten minutes. If you prefer a cheaper option, the city bus that departs from the Dehradun Bus Stand takes roughly twenty to twenty five minutes, but you’ll need to walk a few minutes to the bus stand first. A quick walk of about a kilometer from the station will also bring you to Vishnu Lok near Dehradun Railway Station if you’d like to pick up a cab from there.
