The Science Museum started as a small science centre in the 1970s and was upgraded in the 1990s with interactive labs and a planetarium. Its flagship exhibit is the “Living Earth” display that traces Assam’s biodiversity and the Brahmaputra’s flood history. Since opening, the museum added a digital science gallery for kids. A quick drive to Kamakhya Temple works fine, but you’ll want to leave the museum by early afternoon so you’re not rushed at the temple. If you’re staying nearby, The Greenwood Resort is a comfortable option.
