Transport options from Jaipur to Nawalgarh while passing through

Paramjit Vaz · 2 weeks ago ·17 replies

I’m passing through Jaipur and want to head to Nawalgarh. Is there a direct bus from Jaipur that drops me off at the Nawalgarh Bus Stand, or do I need to take a taxi? I see the nearest airport is Jaipur International; would a cab from there be a reasonable choice? Also, how far is the Jhunjhunu Railway Station from Nawalgarh? I’d appreciate any tips on the best way to get there while on a detour.

You can catch a state bus from Jaipur’s bus depot that stops at Nawalgarh, but the schedule is sparse so a taxi from the airport is usually more reliable. From Nawalgarh to Jhunjhunu Railway Station it’s about 25 kilometres, a short drive of roughly 35 minutes. If you’re looking for a place to stay nearby, the Roop Niwas Kothi Hotel in Mandawa is a decent option.

The state bus from Jaipur’s main depot does run to Nawalgarh, but it only stops at the town’s bus stand and the schedule is thin. A taxi from the airport usually takes about 1½ hours and can drop you off right at the bus stand if you prefer not to wait. From Nawalgarh to Jhunjhunu Railway Station it’s roughly 25 kilometres, about 35 minutes by car. If you need a place to stay nearby, the Roop Niwas Kothi Hotel in Mandawa is a solid option.

If you’re hoping for a quick leg on, the state bus from Jaipur’s main depot does run to Nawalgarh, but it only stops at the town’s bus stand and the timetable is thin. A taxi from Jaipur International takes about 1¾ hours and can drop you straight at the bus stand, which is handy if you want to avoid waiting. From Nawalgarh the Jhunjhunu Railway Station is roughly 25 km away, a 35 minute drive. If you end up staying in Mandawa, the Roop Niwas Kothi Hotel is a solid choice.

If you’re okay with a bit of waiting, the state bus that runs from Jaipur’s main depot does stop at the Nawalgarh bus stand. The schedule is usually a few times a day, so you’ll want to check the exact times before you leave. A taxi from Jaipur International takes about an hour and a half and can drop you straight at the bus stand, which is handy if you prefer a direct drop off. The Jhunjhunu railway station is roughly 25 kilometres from Nawalgarh, about a 35 minute drive. If you’re planning to stay in Mandawa, the Roop Niwas Kothi Hotel is a convenient choice.

You could catch the state bus from Jaipur City Bus Stand it stops right at the Nawalgarh bus stand, so you won’t need a taxi once you get on. Just remember to buy your ticket at the bus stand before boarding.

You could also catch the state bus that leaves Jaipur City Bus Stand at 7 a.m., 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.; it stops directly at the Nawalgarh bus stand. If you’re not in a hurry, that’s a cost effective option. From Nawalgarh the Jhunjhunu railway station is about 25 km, roughly a 35 minute drive. If you plan to stay nearby, the Roop Niwas Kothi Hotel in Mandawa is a convenient spot. Does anyone know if the 7 a.m. bus still runs this season?

You can buy the ticket at Jaipur City Bus Stand before boarding. The Nawalgarh bus stand is right in the town centre, so you’ll be able to walk to most shops from there. Does anyone know if the 7 a.m. bus still runs this season?
