The temple’s main hall has a small shaded seating area that kids can use while the adults take a moment to enjoy the ambient music from the temple’s daily recitals. If you’re staying in Nandyal, a short drive to Hotel DR Indraaprasthaa gives you a convenient spot to refuel after the walk to Upper Ahobilam.

You can just flag a cab once you hit the Port Blair bus stand the metered fare will take you straight to Viper Island. If you’d rather try a boat, ask the information desk for the next shared trip; they usually leave around mid morning and again in the afternoon, and you don’t need to pre book. If you want a guaranteed slot, a taxi is the fastest and most reliable option.

A good option if you want a short walk from the complex is Hotel Cherish, just over two kilometres away. Early September mornings still have cooler temperatures than October, so you can see the stonework before the afternoon mist sets in. The humidity stays high, but the light is usually clearer after midday, giving a comfortable viewing window.

If you’re staying on Soochirac, the northern reef is best seen just before dark when the light is still bright enough for clear visibility. The tide usually falls around 6 pm, so you’ll have a good window for a short snorkel before heading to the pier. If you head to Agatti for sunset, the pier’s cafés stay open until about 10 pm, giving you plenty of time to enjoy a late snack after the light fades. For the next day, remember that the local boat to Bangaram departs at 6 am, so it’s wise to confirm the exact time and ticket price a few hours before you plan to go.

You could start around 10 a.m. and spend about 90 minutes at the museum. From there, walk the kilometre to Benaulim Beach, then hop on a scooter for the 3 km ride to Colva. The whole loop fits comfortably before dusk, especially in November February when evenings stay cool. If you’re staying at Casa De Alnena, the return walk is only a few minutes.

If you’re starting from the airport, drop your bags at Capital O Siddartha Grand first. From there, a quick 15 minute ride gets you to Undavalli Caves, then a 3 km hop to Prakasam Barrage. After a short break at the barrage, head up the hill road to Kanaka Durga; the climb takes about 30 minutes and you’ll reach the temple around sunset for a nice view. Kote Gate market usually opens around 6 a.m. The first stalls you’ll see are the hand loom cotton and silk shops right inside the main gate, while the spice corner near the bazaar square is famous for fresh garam masala and cumin. If you’re staying at Jai Mahal Palace, the walk from Hawa Mahal to the market takes about fifteen minutes, so you can hit the market just before the midday rush and still have time to visit nearby Jantar Mantar. Do you plan to combine a tea stop at a nearby stall on the way?

If you’re driving, the temple’s small paid parking lot is just outside the main gate, so you won’t have to search. After a quick 10 minute walk, the Townhouse OAK Hotel C Pearls is a comfortable base for an overnight stay. Have you checked the local bus schedule for early March?

A short walk in Kinnerasani is usually about 3 4 km round trip and takes roughly an hour. The trail follows a gentle riverbank and you’ll see teak, bamboo and sometimes spotted deer. If you’re in a hurry, just stop at the visitor centre for a quick map and a few photos of the local birdlife.

Try arriving a little before 6am so the sun is still low and the stone carvings get a gentle wash of light. After you’ve covered the walls, head to Pushkar Lake around 10am when the sky is clear and the water reflects the bright blue dome. If you need a base, staying at The Fern Residency keeps you close to both sites.

You can catch the 5:30 am or 6:30 pm Delhi Metro from Gurgaon to the nearest station, then hop on a local bus that heads straight to Town Park. The route usually takes about 45 minutes. If you want a quieter run, try early morning on a weekday; the park is less crowded then.
