If you’re looking for a cheap stay that still keeps you close to the beach, Treebo Raga is a solid option. It’s just over a kilometre from Rama Krishna Beach and usually has rooms in the low hundred rupee range in October. From the railway station the most economical way is to hop on the city bus that heads toward the coast; the fare is only a few rupees and you’ll reach the beach in about twenty minutes.
