What activities are best at Dona Paula Beach for a weekend trip?

Tushar Vasishth · 4 weeks ago ·17 replies

I’m planning a quick weekend in Goa and want to make the most of Dona Paula Beach. Since the beach is open all day and free to enter, I’m curious which activities are recommended. Do people usually go water sports, or is the sunset from the viewpoint the main draw? I also noticed Miramar Beach is only 4 km away-should I visit both?

If you’re already staying near Dona Paula, the sunset viewpoint is the classic highlight, but many visitors add a quick water sport session in the afternoon jet skiing or parasailing are popular. Since Miramar is only a 4 km ride, it’s easy to hit both spots. A short drive from the beach takes you right to The Hawaii Comforts, so you can grab a bite or a drink before heading back to the sunset.

If you’re already on the coast, a quick jet ski hop around the point before sunset is a fun way to see the cliffs from a different angle. After that, head to the viewpoint for the classic sunset. Since Miramar is only a 4 km drive, you can fit both in the same afternoon. A stop at The Hawaii Comforts for a snack or a drink is a handy break before heading back to the beach.

If you’re already at Dona Paula, try a quick windsurfing session around noon there’s a good wind that day and then head back to the viewpoint for sunset. Miramar is only a 4 km drive, so you can swing by after the sunset to catch a calmer evening at the beach.

If you’re after a quieter evening after the sunset, Miramar’s stretch is less crowded and has a calmer vibe. Some people head back to Dona Paula for a quick windsurfing session around noon, then finish the day at the viewpoint. If you want a place to grab a bite nearby, The Hawaii Comforts is just a short walk from the beach.

If you’re aiming to squeeze a bit more into the day, try a short paddle board session around mid afternoon before the sun sets. It gives you a different view of the cliffs and the beach is still calm enough for a relaxed walk. Afterward, head back to the viewpoint for the classic sunset. If you want a bite near the beach, The Hawaii Comforts is only a short walk away and has a decent menu.
