How to keep costs low during a short stopover at Rama Krishna Beach?

Manav Mohanty · 2 weeks ago ·17 replies

I’m planning a quick stopover at Rama Krishna Beach in October and want to keep costs low. The beach is free and open 24 hours, and the nearby INS Kursura Submarine Museum is only 0.5 km away. Are there any budget‑friendly hotels close by that still offer good value? Also, what’s the cheapest way to get to the beach from Visakhapatnam Railway Station?

You could stay at The Park Hotel Visakhapatnam it’s only about a quarter of a kilometre from the beach and usually has good deals in October. From Visakhapatnam Railway Station the cheapest way is to hop on a local bus that heads toward the coast; the fare is a few rupees and the ride takes around twenty minutes. If you prefer a quicker option, a short auto rickshaw ride will cost a bit more but still stay under most budgets.

If you’re looking for a cheap stay that still keeps you close to the beach, Treebo Raga is a solid option. It’s just over a kilometre from Rama Krishna Beach and usually has rooms in the low hundred rupee range in October. From the railway station the most economical way is to hop on the city bus that heads toward the coast; the fare is only a few rupees and you’ll reach the beach in about twenty minutes.

A good budget pick close to the beach is Hotel Ocean Vista Bay it’s just over half a kilometre away and still offers decent rooms for a few hundred rupees in October. From Visakhapatnam Railway Station you can hop on city bus number 32 that goes straight to the coast; it costs only a couple of rupees and takes about twenty minutes. If you prefer a slightly faster option, a short auto ride will still keep you within a modest budget.

You might also consider Hotel Ocean Vista Bay it’s a bit farther, about half a kilometre, but rooms often stay in the low hundred rupee range in October. The city bus number 32 stops right at the beach entrance, so you can hop off and walk to the INS Kursura Museum in just a few minutes. Have you checked if that bus stops near the museum entrance or if you need a short auto from there?

You could also stay at The Park Hotel Visakhapatnam it’s just a 15 minute walk from the beach and usually has rooms under 300 rupees in October. If you’re taking the city bus from the railway station, bus number 32 stops right at the beach entrance; you can hop off there and walk to the INS Kursura Museum in about five minutes. Do you know if the bus schedule changes in October, or would you prefer a slightly faster auto option? TravelIndiaDeals may earn a commission if you book through this link.

You could also look at Bay View Hotel Vizag. It’s only about 0.64 km from the beach, so you can walk to the museum in a few minutes. The rooms are mid range, and October rates stay below 300 rupees. From the station, the city bus 32 is still the cheapest, and it stops right at the beach entrance, so you can hop off and walk straight to the museum. If you’re staying at Bay View Hotel Vizag, you’ll find the beach entrance just a 5 minute walk. The city bus 32 runs every 15 minutes from the railway station and drops you right at the beach; the fare is only a few rupees. After the museum you can hop on the same bus back to the station, so you won’t need a separate auto.
