The Hola Mohalla usually wraps up in early April, so arriving a couple of days before the last week of March lets you catch the main events. A quick 30 minute bus from Chandigarh’s bus stand to Rupnagar leaves at 07:00 and drops you near the station; from there a shared auto takes about ten minutes to the gurdwara complex. If you prefer staying closer, Hotel Sarai Bharatgarh in Rupnagar is only about 11 km from the town centre, so you can stay in the same place for the morning prayers and the evening processions that run until late.
