You could take a local bus from Tirupati Airport to Nellore and then hop on a shared auto that takes you straight to the temple. If you want a cheap stay, the Inn The Centre is only 0.6 km away and has basic rooms that fit most budgets. It’s close enough that you can walk to the temple and back without needing a taxi. The auto fare from the bus stop to the temple is usually under a few rupees.

If you’re only on a tight pass, you can still squeeze in the climb just a few hundred steps and free parking. If you prefer a break before heading on, a quick stop at Royal Rich County in Gangavathi is only about 19 km away and gives a relaxed spot to refuel.

A quick walk from Jahangir Mahal to Ram Raja Temple takes about fifteen minutes. If you’re only in Orchha for a few hours, you can squeeze both in. The best time for light crowds is early morning, before 9 am, or late afternoon after the main tourist rush. October and November are still the cooler months, so the weather should be comfortable for a short visit. Just plan a short break between the two sites and you’ll get a good feel for both.

You could also take the local 116 bus from Fort Aguada to Calangute; it stops near the beach and then you can hop on a shared auto to Anjuna Flea Market, which saves a bit of time compared to a taxi for that leg.

A good extra stop is the elephant enclosure they’re most active right after the 10 a.m. white tiger feeding. If you’re looking for a quiet walk, a Tuesday morning works well too. Staying a bit closer at the Radisson Chandigarh Zirakpur gives you easy access before heading to the zoo.

If you book a room at Iyla Apart Hotel Pondicherry you’ll be about 0.8 km from the promenade, so a quick walk takes you to Gandhi Beach, Promenade Beach and the Aurobindo Ashram in one afternoon. The hostel option, Hostel Kurukku Santhu, is only 0.9 km away, giving the same convenience without a hotel’s extra cost.

If you’re staying at Polo Orchid Resort, you could start at Dawki early, walk the 1932 bridge, then head back for a quick lunch before driving an hour to the living root bridges. From there a 30 minute walk takes you straight to Mawlynnong, letting you finish the day in the village without rushing.

If you want a quieter spot but still close to the hills, The Cliff by Zuper in Panchgani is a good option. It sits about 45 km from Marleshwar, so a shared taxi or local bus will get you there in roughly an hour. The 4 star rating means better rooms without the premium price of a 5 star resort. The hotel also offers a free Wi Fi pass, handy for planning the rest of your day.

Try framing the shot from the back of the central pillar but angle the camera so the light from the arch falls on the kids’ faces, giving a soft halo. If you move a step closer, the stone lintel in front of the pillar can serve as a natural frame. For a quieter visit, aim for a weekday morning after 9 am in October. If you need a place to stay nearby, Hotel Akanksha in Jagdalpur is a convenient option.

A good way to stretch your stop is to pick a time when the forest is cooler early morning or late afternoon so the deer are more active. If you can spare a bit more, ask a local guide for a 45 minute trek into the denser thickets; that spot usually shows larger mammals that you might miss on the loop. Afterward, a quick coffee at Hukam’s Lalit Mahal is a convenient break before you hit the road again.

Mehtab Bagh’s viewing deck is open from 5 am until sunset, but the early morning light gives the gardens a quieter, more intimate feel. By sunset the number of visitors rises, yet it still stays less packed than the Taj Mahal’s main entrance. If you’re staying near the monument, the 24 hour slot lets you catch the garden in a calm mood before the crowds grow.

October is still warm enough for water sports, but the sea can be a bit choppy right after the monsoon. Sunsets are usually clear and you’ll have a good chance to catch a nice view. The Submarine Museum and Kailasagiri are just a short drive away, so you can add them to the same day. Crowding is lighter than in December, but the beach can get busy on weekends. If you’re staying nearby, Hotel The Supreme is a convenient option. Since you’ll be arriving late, keep an eye on the parking lot at Merk Bay it’s usually full by sunset, so you might want to arrive a bit earlier to snag a spot. If you’re looking for a quieter spot to unwind after the hike, the single café at Lalaji Bay opens a little later but offers a calm setting for a sandwich. Do you plan to stay overnight, or just a quick bite?

The Brahmam stall is only a 250 meter walk from the temple and opens at 6 a.m. It’s known for its spicy upma with fresh coconut chutney. If you’d rather sit, the breakfast corner at The Mourya Inn is just 100 meters back and offers idli, upma and filter coffee, so you can grab a quick bite before heading out. Sounds like the Jalori Pass trek would give you the most varied scenery in a single day. You’d get high altitude views, a short walk to the lake for sunset, and then a quick drive back to Royal Mansion in Bhuntar to unwind.
