October still gives a nice mix of mild weather and green fields, so the scenery is usually at its best. If you’re staying in Kolkata, Hotel 16 avenue is a solid base. After Kusumgram you could head to the Dakshineswar Kali Temple for a cultural contrast, then finish the day with a walk along the Ganga Riverfront to catch the sunset. Does that fit your plans?
