Is October a good month for my first visit to Kusumgram?

Aamir Kaur · 1 week ago ·17 replies

I’m planning my first visit to Kusumgram and wondering if October is still the best time to go. The village is open all day, free of charge, so I can arrive whenever the weather suits me. I know the best months are listed as October, November, December, January, and February – does October still offer the most pleasant scenery? Also, would you recommend any nearby attractions to combine with the trip?

October still feels right for Kusumgram the temperatures are mild and the foliage is fresh. If you’re staying in Kolkata, you might consider the Hotel 16 avenue for a comfortable base. While you’re in the area, the Victoria Memorial and Howrah Bridge are easy day trips that complement the village visit.

October still gives a crisp, green backdrop before the monsoon starts. If you’re staying in Kolkata, Hotel 16 avenue is a solid base. From there you can hop to the Sundarbans for a day of mangrove walks or visit Kalighat Temple for a cultural side trip.

October is still a good choice the mornings are crisp and the fields stay green until the monsoon rolls in. If you stay near Kolkata, you could try The Panash Hotel & Banquets for a budget stay. After Kusumgram, a quick drive to the Dakshineswar Kali Temple offers a contrasting cultural vibe.

If you’re staying near Kolkata, the Hotel 16 avenue is a solid base. After Kusumgram you could head to the Ganga Riverfront for a relaxed walk and maybe catch the sunset over the Hooghly. It’s a nice contrast to the village vibe and still within a short drive.
