The state bus from Jaipur’s main depot does stop at the Nawalgarh bus stand, but it runs only a few times a day. If you want a direct drop off, a cab from Jaipur International takes about an hour and a half and can take you straight to the stand. From Nawalgarh the Jhunjhunu railway station is roughly 25 km away, about a 35 minute drive. If you plan to stay nearby, the Roop Niwas Kothi Hotel in Mandawa is a convenient option. Have you checked the latest bus timetable?

For a budget trek, I’m weighing Deomali Hill against Araku Valley. Deomali is Andhra Pradesh’s highest peak at 1672 m, open 24 hours and free to enter. Araku Valley is only about 60 km away and known…
