If you’re up for a quick walk, the late afternoon light is great for the western façades, and the site stays quiet after midday. You’ll still catch the main stupas before dusk, and the sunset glow will give the ruins a softer look. If you prefer a calmer, more reflective walk, staying until sunset and returning the next morning lets you see everything in full daylight. Either way you’ll miss nothing.
