A good extra is to visit the caves early, then head to Galikonda around 10 am when the mist starts to lift the light is still soft but the valley is clearer. If you’re only after the viewpoint and the caves, a day trip works, but staying a night lets you wake before sunrise for a truly dramatic shot. USHODAYA RESORTS is only a kilometre from the road and gives easy access to the hilltop.
