If you have a little extra time, the ancient ash temple at Dhauli is only about a 90 minute drive from Saptasajya. The site sits on a flat plateau overlooking the Ganga valley and is famous for its peace keeping inscriptions. It’s a quick stop that gives a sense of Odisha’s early Buddhist history and a nice view of the surrounding hills. If you’re staying in Bhubaneswar afterwards, Hotel O Saket Homes is a convenient option.
