If you’re heading to the dam early, you can grab banana chips or fresh mango slices at the stalls in Chalakkayam before noon. For a fuller bite before you leave, stop at the Athirappilly market it’s got a good spread of fruit and quick snacks. If you prefer a sit down breakfast, the Niraamaya Retreats Samroha a bit further out offers a simple menu and is only about 17 km away.
