A quick thing to note is that the 2 km loop around Tosh takes roughly 30 minutes and gives a nice view of the pine lined ridge. If you’re staying in Manali, a morning taxi can get you there in about two hours on the flat road, giving the kids a relaxed drive and plenty of daylight for the walk and a ginger chai break at the local stall.
