If you’re looking for a longer twilight, late December works well the sun dips around 6:30 pm so you can linger at the lake after sunset. The bus to Hiriyur still leaves around 5 pm and the last one is about 7 pm, so you’ll arrive just in time for the evening light. If you’re staying near Tirupati, the Pai Viceroy Hotel Tirupati is a convenient base.
