If you’re staying at Best Western La Vista Pathankot, the bus stop is only a few kilometres away. On the 15 minute ride you’ll pass the Shahpur Kandi Barrage, a good spot for a quick river shot, and there’s a small tea stall just outside the bus stand that serves fresh chai and samosas handy for a quick bite before you walk up to the fort. A phone camera will capture the stonework fine, but a small tripod can help steady the barrage shots.
