If you’re okay with a longer day, the bus from Calicut airport to Wayanad Bus Stand runs every few hours and then a local bus to the trailhead takes about 90 minutes. The total travel time is roughly 9 10 hours, but you can break it up by stopping at a place like Sterling Vythiri Wayanad for a quick rest. The cab is faster under five hours but the bus gives you a chance to see more of the countryside and save a bit of money.
