If you leave the airport around 5 pm you can head straight to Kabbalamma for a quick pooja. From there the walk to Lalbagh takes about fifteen minutes, so you’ll arrive around 5:45 pm. The garden stays open until 6 pm, giving you a half hour to stroll through the glasshouse and the lake before closing. A nearby stop over at the Vivanta Bengaluru on Residency Road would let you freshen up before the evening.
