If you’re looking for a very tight budget, The Hotel Canoe in Kannur is a good choice just under 10 km from the temple. From the Parassinikadavu bus stop, a local bus takes about 15 minutes to Kannur, and the hotel is only a short auto ride away. While in town, you can stroll through the old Kannur Fort area, which is free, and then walk to Payyambalam Beach for a sunset view without spending anything.
