The British built a small bungalow and a tea shaded terrace on the hill for officials to escape the heat. The building now houses a local museum with original furniture and a portrait of the officer Daring. Nearby, the Putudi Waterfall is a favorite for tribal picnics, and the Coffee Garden shows how colonial coffee cultivation blended with tribal cultivation techniques. If you stay near the hill, the Mayfair Palm Beach Resort Gopalpur is a convenient base.
