Vazhachal is a solid quick stop the mist is still thick and the trail is only about half an hour. After that you could head to the small village of Puzhakkattam, just 2 km away, and walk along the flat riverbank before the crowds arrive. If you’re staying close to the falls, Niraamaya Retreats Samroha puts you within a kilometre of both spots for a comfortable early morning base.
