The ranger station hosts a tiny visitor centre that shows a timeline of the 1984 split from the larger Mayurbhanj Reserve and explains the corridor’s role for elephants. If you arrive at 4 pm you can request a short evening walk until about 8 pm. After that, a quick drive to Chandipur for sunset is doable; the beach is only about 50 km away. If you need a place to rest before heading back, Hotel Ayush International is within 5 km of the entrance.
