The shrine at the base is actually a small stone platform that the Kamma tribe carved in the early 19th century to thank the falls for protecting cattle. Nearby, a short walk leads to the Guntur Fort ruins, where some of the stone carvings are thought to echo the same healing legend. If you’re staying in town, Treebo Abhi Suites is only a few minutes away and many guests mention spotting the shrine on a walk to the falls.
