If you’re looking for a quick rest spot right next to the dam, the Sri Ranga Guest House on the riverbank is a solid choice. It’s only a ten minute walk from the temple and the staff usually know the exact opening times, so you can come in or leave when the temple opens or closes. The rooms are simple but clean, and the view of the water is a nice break after a day of walking.
