The 15 minute bus from Pathankot Railway Station drops you right at the fort’s bus stand. On the way you’ll pass the Shahpur Kandi Barrage, which is a nice spot for a quick river shot in the early morning light. If you’re staying at Best Western La Vista Pathankot, the bus stop is only a few kilometres away, so you can hop on right after checking in. A phone camera will capture the stonework fine, but a small tripod can help steady the barrage shots.
