If you’re staying near Dehradun, the overnight local bus that departs around 5 pm the night before gets you to Rudraprayag by about 8 pm. From the bus stop a short auto ride takes only a few minutes to Bright End Corner, so you’ll be ready for the 6 am sunrise without a long wait. If you prefer to rest beforehand, Himalayan Comforts in Rudraprayag is only about 21 km away and offers a convenient base.
