If you’re staying near Thattekad, a quick stop at Maram Resort Mamalakandam can give you a cheap overnight stay. From the resort’s bus stand you can hop on a local bus to Bhoothathankettu Dam for just a few rupees, and a shared auto from the main bus stand will drop you at Hill Palace Museum for under ₹50. This way you keep transport costs low while covering both sites.
