If you’re staying at the Jai Mahal Palace, you can walk to Kote Gate in about fifteen minutes. The spice corner near the bazaar square is famous for fresh garam masala, cumin and cardamom, while the narrow lanes just inside the main gate host the best hand loom cotton and silk stalls. Early morning after sunrise is the quietest and gives you the freshest aromas.
