A quick way is to start at the temple, hop on bus 12 to the ashram, then catch bus 7 straight to Kankaria. The buses run every 15 20 minutes and the whole loop takes about an hour. After the lake you could stay at Lemon Tree Hotel Rajkot for a budget stay a few kilometres away.
