If you head in on a weekday before 10 am you’ll usually beat the midday rush. The palace opens around 8 am, so getting there right when it opens lets you walk through the teak halls and frescoes without the crowds that flock after lunch. A short walk from the Kalasipalya bus stand makes a quick stop over easy, especially if you’re staying at a nearby hotel like Super Collection O Metro Park Opposite Kalasipalya Bus stand.
