If you leave Saputara by 3 pm you’ll reach the forest around 4:30 and have about an hour before sunset. A quick return by 6 pm lets you grab dinner in town, and staying at Patang Residency the next night keeps the drive short. If you prefer a longer walk, consider an overnight at Patang so you can head back fresh the next day.
