Dubdi’s murals are mostly 18th century Nyingma style, showing the Buddha with lotus backgrounds and thin gold leaf accents that survived the 1950s renovation. Inside you’ll see a few old thangkas and a small reliquary that locals say dates back to the original 1701 temple. If you want quieter light and fewer visitors, go early morning right after sunrise; the forest mist makes the stone walls glow. If you prefer a warmer atmosphere, late afternoon works too. A quick stop at The Elgin Mount Pandim Pelling before heading back to Yuksom gives you a comfortable break in the same area.
