A quick tweak is to start at 5:30 am from Bhubaneswar, catch the shared auto to Dhauli, then hop on a local bus that runs every 20 minutes to Lingaraj. From there a 10 minute auto ride lands you at Khurda Fort by noon. If you’d like a place to rest after the day, Hotel O Sunshine 2 is just 16 km away and easy to reach from the main bus stand.
