A good spot is right where the dunes meet the water just before the first people start to stroll. Bring a lightweight tripod; a small one will keep the camera steady for the long exposure but still be easy to carry. If you stay a few minutes after sunrise, the Mandovi River will reflect the warm glow and give a nice contrast to the beach shots. If you need a quick coffee break before heading back, the Goa Marriott Resort & Spa is only about a kilometre away.
