A good trick is to start the trek right after the temple so you’re on the ridge before the mist lifts. In October February the trail stays dry, but early mornings can be foggy, so bring a light jacket. After the descent a quick 15 km drive gets you to Hidlumane Waterfalls before sunset perfect for a cool dip. If you need a base, Hotel Ambika International Byndoor is close to both the temple and trailhead. TravelIndiaDeals may earn a commission if you book through this link.
