If you’re okay with a short drive, a stay at Cygnett Inn Imperial in Tezpur gives you about a 105 km route to Majuli and keeps you away from the weekend rush that hits Kaziranga. The hotel’s pool is a nice break for the kids, and the nearby villages offer plenty of open space to explore before heading out to the island.
