Looking for local Gujarati food near Prabhas Patan Museum while solo

Tanvi Ahluwalia · 1 month ago ·22 replies

I’m planning a solo visit to Prabhas Patan Museum and want to taste some local Gujarati food nearby. The museum is open 24 hours and free, and it’s only 0.5 km from Somnath Temple and about 2 km from Prabhas Patan Beach. What are the best spots for street food or local restaurants within this radius?

If you’re staying near the museum, the street stalls around the main road opposite the temple are a good spot for dhokla and khandvi. A short walk takes you to the seaside café on Prabhas Patan Beach where you can grab a fresh coconut water and a plate of local fish fry. The Hotel Aditya Mansingh Inn is within a kilometre, so you can easily step out for a quick bite before heading back to the museum.

If you want something quick and authentically Gujarati, head to the stalls near the main road opposite the temple. They serve dhokla and khandvi fresh, and a few vendors also sell spicy samosa and fresh coconut water. For a sit down bite, the restaurant inside Hotel Aditya Mansingh Inn offers Gujarati thali with a local twist, and it’s only a short walk from the museum.
