If you’re staying near Thattekad, the Maram Resort Mamalakandam is only about 14 km away and you can hop on a local bus from the village to reach Bhoothathankettu Dam for a very low fare. For Hill Palace Museum, a shared auto rickshaw from the main bus stand will take you there in under 30 minutes and costs less than a single seat taxi. Both routes use the same public bus line that runs every 30 45 minutes, so you can fit a quick visit into your day without breaking the bank.
