A quick bus from Velneshwar station takes about an hour each way, so you’d get roughly 4 5 hours at the beach if you leave around 10 am. If you want to shave off a few minutes, a shared auto drops you closer to the shore and is still cheap, about ₹90 per ride. After a swim you can park a scooter in the small beach lot for a few rupees, which saves a short walk back to the station. If you need a place to freshen up before heading back, Kokanwadi Resort in Dhokamale is only about 18 km away and offers budget rooms and showers.
